FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I use my NDIS funding or Home Care Package to purchase Gripperz Socks?

Yes you can. We'll need a few details from you to do so. Please click here to find out more

2. Is the Gripperz size chart true to size?

Gripperz socks are designed to be true to size. As our socks are made with stretchy materials to comfortably accommodate a range of shoe sizes, we intentionally size them to provide a slightly more generous fit rather than being too restrictive. This helps ensure maximum comfort and a secure fit for most wearers.

3. Are compression socks or non-binding circulation socks better for oedema and swollen legs?

It depends on the cause and severity of your swelling. Graduated compression supports venous return and can reduce end-of-day puffiness for mild venous or positional oedema, while non-binding circulation socks are safer when swelling is significant or fluctuating because they avoid constricting circulation and pressure marks.

4. How do I stop my elderly parent from slipping at home?

Preventing slips and falls at home often requires a combination of strategies. Remove trip hazards such as loose rugs and cords, improve lighting, install grab rails where needed and ensure mobility aids are used correctly. Appropriate footwear is also important. Many older adults wear regular socks on hard floors, which can increase the risk of slipping. Non-slip socks, such as Gripperz, feature grip coverage designed to improve traction and may offer a safer alternative for indoor use. Available in styles including elastic-free and compression options, they can support safer mobility when used as part of a broader falls-prevention plan.
